2014 Festival Vendor Application

This event will be a unique outdoor festival where guests will engage with eclectic vendors representing various cultures across the globe. Visitors will be able to sample delicious cuisine from culturally diverse restaurants, enjoy entertainment from distinctive civilizations, indulge in art and fashion inspired from every corner of the earth and even learn a new skill in one of our exciting experiential class sessions. Patrons will have what is sure to be an unforgettable day full of fun, excitement and education for the whole family - all while contributing to a fantastic cause!

Space is limited and vendor selection will come on a first come, first serve basis.

10 x 10 Booth Space is provided

12 x 12 Booth Space available for Food Vendors ONLY

the CANswer project will provide canopies, one table and two chairs


 the CANswer project holds EXCLUSIVE right to sell beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). 



 Electrical spaces are limited and will be reserved on a first come first served basis. Electrical spaces will be grouped together where power access is available. NO GENERATORS PERMITTED! An additional fee for electricity/propane will apply; see below for more details.

There will be an additional cost for electricity and/or propane; we are in process of taking bids to secure the most reliable, reasonable service. Expected cost is an additional $35-60. If you need electricity and/or propane, we will contact you when the final price is finalized (usually by the end of March). We will require an additional check at that time to cover the costs of your electricity and/or propane.

By submitting this online application, you shall indemnify, defend and hold the CANswer project and all affiliated organizations, their successors, agents, and assigns, harmless against all claims, losses, expenses, and liabilities and damages, arising out of your participation in the festival. You agree to abide by all rules, policies, and procedures set forth herein. The CANswer project assumes no responsibility for the safety of your exhibit space, you body, or your agents resulting from any cause including your negligence or the negligence of others.”






When is the fair?

Event Date: Saturday May 17, 2014


Set up: 10:30am – 1:00pm

Set break down: 10pm – 12am

Main festival: 2:00pm - 6:00pm

Entertainment set up: 2pm – 10pm

21+ section: 2pm – 10pm



What kinds of payments do you accept for a street fair booth?

Check or money order ONLY. Payment is not deposited into the our bank accounts until your booth has been accepted.


How do I apply for the street fair?

Street Fair application can be made online by filling out the online form. We require that all applications be completed online.

In an effort to 'go Green', please print out and mail ONLY the web page that the application has been submitted with payment .

Where do I send payment?

Please mail your payment check or money order to:

Please include a copy of your application if you applied online, and note on your check the name of the business for your booth, if it is not already printed on the check.


When will I know if I have been accepted into the fair?

All applicants will be notified by email as to their acceptance or rejection from the fair. Checks from accepted applicants will be deposited by April 15, 2014.


Where's my booth located?

You will receive an email on or before May 1, 2014 with a booth assignment number, as well as directions and a map for set up times and tear down.


How big is my booth?

Vendor booth spaces are 10' x 10' and Food Vendor booth spaces are 12' x 12'

1. Agrees to indemnify, defend, protect and hold harmless the sponsors, organization and all its associates, the proprietors of the location and all its associates, St. Theresa’s School and its staff, the municipality where the event is held at and all its associates, The CANswer Project, Inc, its trustees, volunteers, and all its associates for any personal injury to himself\herself and his\her associates for any property loss or damages of any nature suffered by any person as a result of the operation of the above mentioned or the exhibitors and especially to the attendees while within the exhibitor’s exhibit space or caused by the exhibitor. Exhibitor may not assign their contract for exhibit space or permit any other person to use part of such space.

2. Exhibitor agrees to hold harmless the sponsors, organization and all its associates, the proprietors of the location and all its associates, the municipality where the event is held at and all its associates, The CANswer Projects, Inc, its employees, agents and all its associates for any merchandise left unattended for any reason at any event at any time.

3. Agrees should an accident occur within the exhibitors space caused by the exhibitor’s display or debris left by the exhibitor, the exhibitor will be held liable in case of an accident. By applying to any events listed, the exhibitor agrees to save and hold harmless The CANswer Projects, Inc, trustees, event coordinators, volunteers, the municipality where the event is held, its management agents, employees, and sponsors from any liability resulting from such accidents.

4. Agrees to remove all boxes, paper and trash belonging to them upon vacating their space and to keep his\her space neat in appearance and in good order while selling. (a $10 penalty will be assessed for each violation of this rule, 3 violations and you will be prohibited from participating in any future events)

5. Exhibitor’s exhibit or product may not extend beyond the limits of Exhibitor’s space.

6. Power will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

7. The festival will be RAIN OR SHINE. Vendors are advised to come prepared for inclement weather, tarps, plastic covers, etc.

8. All vendors must be in their designated space and ready for the festival to begin at 10:00AM. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL VENDORS BE PERMITTED TO DRIVE THROUGH THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS AFTER STARTING TIMES. All exhibit tables must be draped with attractive cloths with no boxes, extra merchandise or debris visible.

9. The sale of knives, box cutters, unlicensed products (no bootleg items), spray foam, fake cigarettes, streamers, sparklers, bomb bags, stink bombs, snappers, pornographic material, firearms, explosives, smoke and/or odorous items flammables or any item deemed illegal under the law is strictly prohibited. The sale of cigarette lighters to minor children (under the age of eighteen) is strictly prohibited.

10. Exhibitor is entirely responsible for the collection and payment of any state sales tax & for maintaining product liability.


11. Exhibitor is to park vehicle in designated area, away from vendor space (unless otherwise indicated).

12. The CANswer Projects, Inc. will not be liable for the fulfillment of this contract as to the delivery of said exhibit space if non-delivery is due to any of the following causes-war or insurrections, public enemy, local or regional civil disturbances, strikes, fire, the authority of law, by reason of an act of God, inclement weather, or for any cause beyond our control. The Event may not be held if, in the sole opinion of the Event Management, there exist a threat of unsafe conditions or if conditions are deemed unsafe. If the Event is canceled, the Event will not be further rescheduled and there will be no refunds or credits of any kind.

13. No religious or political solicitation permitted. We reserve the right to refuse rental space to any exhibitor upon our discretion and reserves the right to exclude any merchandise from an event for any reason at any time.

14. Retail/Craft exhibitor is NOT allowed to take Names/Addresses of event attendees unless approved by The CANswer Projects, Inc.

15. Exhibitor agrees to remain open until closing time of event.

16. Cancelation Policy: No refunds, credits or transfers are due if contract or event is canceled for any reason. The CANswer project, Inc. will not cancel an event: Except in Extreme or Unusual Circumstances.

17. Agrees to read and be responsible to comply with all the rules and regulations in this contract.

18. Vendors are prohibited from the sales of any and all beverages, including alcoholic beverages and water during the 2014 Festival. The CANswer project hold exclusive rights to sell beverages and water products during the Festival. The Festival also prohibits the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages by its vendors.

19. Vendor agrees to clean-up all materials, products and equipment and vacate the festival premises immediately following the conclusion of Festival event. Vendors agree to breakdown, clean-up, and return the rental space area to the same condition it was received. Inspections will be conducted during the final breakdown. Food vendors are expected to provide their own trash bins and trash bags.

20. Agrees to read and be responsible to comply with all the rules and regulations in this contract. This agreement applies to all and any future events between The CANswer Projects, Inc. and the undersigned.

21. Exhibitors shall at all times conduct themselves in an acceptable and orderly manner or may be banned from participation of this event.

22. The CANswer Projects reserves the right to limit the number of vendors that sell certain merchandise at the festival. The sale of any counterfeit products or products bearing counterfeit imitation or colorable trademarks or other false descriptions
